Christianity makes some bold claims about events that supposedly happened in recorded history. But are they true?
Some of us might think that the stories about Jesus are on a par with the ancient Greek myths about gods and goddesses. Jesus, however, is not the making of someone’s imagination. There is solid evidence that points to the fact he grew up in the small town of Nazareth in first-century Palestine, went on to have a preaching ministry in Galilee, and was ultimately executed on a Roman cross. Scholars disagree on all sorts of other details, but even atheist and agnostic historians don’t doubt that Jesus really lived.
